August Week 2, Year 5

TNA Hardcore Justice is this week. It'll be interesting to see how Bully Ray plays into the title picture.

Raw

Match 1. Mark Henry and Kurt Angle vs. Brodus Clay and ???

Clay's partner was Randy Orton. They immediately began arguing about who would start the match. Henry and Clay kicked it off. Angle hit Orton with the 3 German suplexes. Orton busted Henry open with a tornado DDT. Angle hit Orton with an Angle Slam and won.

Match 2. Undertaker vs. Triple H

Cena walked down the ramp with a chair. Undertaker left the ring and grabbed his own chair. Miz ran out from the crowd and joined the fray. Taker hit Triple H with a chokeslam outside the ring. Miz hit the SCF on Cena. Triple H busted Taker open with some right hands. He then hit a spine buster. He went for the Pedigree, but Taker reversed and hit the Tombstone to win.

Match 3. Chris Jericho vs. John Cena

The match spilled to the outside. Cena bashed Jericho's head against the steel post, busting him open in the process. Cena hit the Throwbacks face buster and the spin-out powerbomb. He went for the AA, but Jericho countered it into a DDT. He then hit the Codebreaker to win.

Main Event. Antonio Cesaro vs. Brock Lesnar

Lesnar looks to get another title shot by defeating the champion. Lesnar left the ring and brought in a chair. After multiple chair shots, Lesnar landed the F5. However, the champ got right up and connected with some right hands. He hit the Neutralizer, but Lesnar kicked out and hit another F5 to win.

Impact

Match 1. RVD vs. Bully Ray

Gunner was shown sitting in the front row. Ray choked RVD in the corner with his boot. He then landed a side slam. A few minutes later, RVD connected with a heel kick and the 5-star Frog Splash. Ray kicked out, but RVD hit another heel kick. Ray kicked out of a second frog splash, but caught RVD in a roll-up and won.

After the match, Gunner ran it and attacked Ray with a lead pipe.

Match 2. Devon and Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson and Samoa Joe

Devon will be taking on Anderson while Angle and Joe will be competing at Hardcore Justice. Both teams effectively used tag moves to wear down their opponents. Anderson hit Angle with a couple of rolling fireman carries. Devon came in and hit Anderson with a High Cross. Anderson tagged in Joe, who forced Devon to tap from the Coquina Clutch.

Match 3. Chavo and Hernandez vs. Robbie E and Rob Terry  #1 Contender's Match

Robbie hit Chavo with a jumping leg drop from the second rope. He then connected with a super kick. Chavo and Hernandez hit Robbie with a springboard senton and powerbomb. Robbie and Terry hit Hernandez with a double hip toss. Terry and Hernandez traded finishers. Terry got up and hit a clothesline and got the win.

Main Event. Robert Roode vs. Austin Aries vs. James Storm vs. Jeff Hardy

This is a non-title match. The title will be on the line on Sunday. It didn't take long for weapons to get involved. There was a ladder, chair, kendo stick and a table. Jeff lit the table on fire. Storm hit Jeff with the Last Call super kick. Aries then locked Storm in the Horns of Aries and forced him to tap out.

After the match, Aries left the ring and grabbed a chair. He went to shatter Roode's ankle, but AJ Styles ran down and made the save.

Recap: Good to see TNA making a recovery. There roster was decimated.
