August Week 4, Year 4

Raw

Match 1. Big Show vs. Jeff Hardy

Wade Barrett made is way to the ring and stood in Hardy's corner. Jeff was taking it to Show throughout the match. A few minutes into the match, Jeff connected with a Twist of Fate. Show busted open Jeff with a few right hands. Show speared Jeff, but Jeff got up and hit another Twist of Fate to win.

After the match, Barrett grabbed a chair and handed it to Hardy. Hardy was about hit Show when Jericho returned and saved Big Show.

Match 2. Santino vs. Barrett  #1 Contender's Match

Barrett was in control, but Santino got some offense in. Barrett hit a huge clothesline and a swinging slam. Punk ran down and attacked Wade. He went for the GTS, but Barrett blocked it. He then hit Wasteland on Santino. After a headbutt, Wade got the win

Match 3. CM Punk vs. Kane

Punk drove his knee to the side of Kane's head. He then hit a pump handle drop. Edge slowly walked down the ramp with a chair. Kane landed a sidewalk slam. He then lifted Punk up for a chokeslam. Punk quickly recovered and hit the GTS. A minute later, Kane landed a DDT and won.

Main Event. Evan Bourne vs. ???

This is a strange main event. Why is Evan in the main spot? Oh well, let's see who his opponent is. Mr. Kennedy?! Kennedy is on Raw! Bourne hit a corkscrew suplex and then jumped to the top and landed Air Bourne. Kennedy got up and hit the rolling fireman's carry. He dove off the top, driving his elbow in Bourne's chest, but only got a 2 count. A minute later, Kennedy hit the Mic Check and won.

After the match, Kennedy was celebrating. Bourne was in disbelief. He ended up raising Kennedy's hand in victory.

Smackdown

Match 1. John Cena vs. The Miz

Cena hit Miz with a spin-out powerbomb. Miz threw Cena into the corner. He went to clothesline him, but Cena moved and hit a belly-to-belly. Miz fought back and hit the Skull Crushing Finale. Cena got up and hit some right hands. After pulling Miz out from the corner, he got the win.

Match 2. Sheamus vs. Rhodes, Kofi and Del Rio

What did Sheamus do to deserve this? Cody started the match, but he quickly tagged in Kofi. Kofi hit a dropkick and a jumping clothesline. Del Rio was tagged in. He locked Sheamus in the cross armbreaker and forced him to tap.

Match 3. Undertaker vs. Drew McIntyre

Taker hit a clothesline from behind. He then lifted Drew back up and hit a fall away slam. Taker then ended the match with a Last Ride and a Tombstone to win.

Main Event. JBL vs. Batista

Despite being Tombstoned, Drew walked out and stood in JBL's corner. JBL hit his powerbomb very early in the match. Batista returned the favor with a Batista Bomb. Batista was in control after that. He hit a two-handed chokeslam and a spear. He then hit another Batista Bomb. The match ended when JBL tapped out from a bear hug.

After the match, JBL was taken away on a stretcher.

Recap: Barrett with face Jeff Hardy at the PPV. It looks like JBL may be done for good.
