July Week 2, Year 3

Raw
Match 1. Christian w/ Jericho vs. Jeff w/ Matt
Both managers got involved real early in the match. Christian and Jeff made it back into the ring and continued their match. Jeff hit the Twist of Fate out of nowhere. Christian grabbed a chair and took out both Hardys. He rolled Jeff back into the ring and connected with the Killswitch and won.

Match 2. Stone Cold vs. Booker T
Before the match, Booker put on brass knuckles and hit Austin in his jaw. Austin was able to recover and take on Booker. He landed a Stunner at 4:24. He then picked him back up and hit a powerbomb. Booker got up and hit a Russian leg sweep. After slamming Austin's arm onto the mat, Booker pinned him to win.

After the match, Steiner and Matt appeared on the ramp. Steiner then pointed at Booker.

Match 3. The Rock, Triple H and Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels, Kane and Steiner
When will I take my own advice? 6-man tags take a day and a half in my Universe. Let's see how this one goes. This match went a little over 18 minutes, which is the typical time for a 6-man tag. Kane went for a chokeslam on Triple H but he countered it and hit the Pedigree. A few minutes later, Kane was able to connect with a chokeslam on Flair. The match ended with a running powerslam from Steiner on The Game and a 3 count.

Main Event. Mark Henry vs. Goldberg  #1 Contender's Match
Henry was dominating the man they call Goldberg. He lifted him up over his head for a military press. He then hit the World's Strongest Slam and almost won, but Goldberg kicked out. Goldberg was able to fight back as he connected with his swinging neck breaker. He then hit the Jackhammer and won.

Smackdown
Match 1. Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
Taker lost to Rhino last week. He's looking for redemption this week. This match went back and forth for most of the match. Lesnar caught Taker with a headbutt and an overhead belly-to-belly. Lesnar had Taker on his shoulder, but it was countered into a reverse DDT. Out of nowhere, Lesnar hit the F5. A minute later, he landed another one and won. Taker has now lost 2 in a row.

Match 2. Cena vs. JBL
JBL landed a fall away slam on Cena. After receiving a pump handle drop, Cena got up and hit JBL with an AA. He went for the pin and almost won. Cena then hit a tilt-a-whirl powerbomb and another AA to win.

Match 3. A-Train vs. Scotty 2 Hotty
Angle attacked A-Train from behind and threw him into the ring. A-Train was running towards Scotty but he was caught in a roll-up. Scotty then hit a heel kick and had Train in a crucifix pin. Scotty was all over A-Train. He landed a spinning DDT and scored the win.

After the match, Angle entered the ring and attacked A-Train. Scotty turned around and saved Train.

Main Event. Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Kennedy  #1 Contender's Match
Angle returned last week and is now fighting for a title shot. This is like a main event on TNA. Will A-Train interfere? Kennedy landed a back suplex then a snap suplex. He then hit the rolling senton. Kennedy brought in a sledgehammer. Angle fought back and connected with the Angle Slam. He hit another one a minute later which sealed the deal and the match.

After the match, The Miz and Rock attacked Angle.

Recap: Steiner vs. Goldberg for the World Title and Taker vs. Angle for the WWE Title. Will Taker continue this losing streak?
