September Week 1, Year 3

Raw
Match 1. Regal vs. Benoit
Two technical wrestlers kicking off Raw. Benoit was going all out on Regal. He drove his knee into Regal's chest while he was in the corner. He then landed a back breaker. The match spilled out to the outside. Regal connected with the Power of the Punch. Jericho interfered and allowed Regal to take advantage. Benoit fought back and put Regal in the Crossface. He later pinned him to win.

Match 2. Jericho vs. Orton w/ Batista
Batista lost to Jericho last week, so it's Orton's turn to show him how it's done. Orton hit Jericho with a float-over DDT and busted him wide open. Jericho wasn't fazed by it as he hit Orton with a heel kick and the Walls of Jericho. Batista distracted the ref which allowed Orton to get back on the offensive. Orton landed the RKO and won.

Match 3. Triple H vs. Stone Cold
At about 5 minutes into the match, Triple H went for a Pedigree, but Austin reversed it and hit the Stunner. Triple H got up and hit a piledriver. He then hit his knee smash and spine buster. The Game was then able to hit the Pedigree for the win.

Main Event. Scott Steiner vs. Booker T
Steiner lifted Booker over his head and then dropped him on his back. A little later, Steiner threw Booker over his head with a belly-to-belly. Steiner then hit Booker a couple of times with a steel chair. The match ended with Booker tapping from a single-leg Boston Crab.

After the match, Steiner left the ring. At the top of the ramp was Austin and RVD. Steiner joined them and celebrated.

Smackdown
Match 1. Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Brock Lesnar
Scotty got some offense in, surprisingly. Edge ran down to the ring and did absolutely nothing. Lesnar hit a pinning fisherman's suplex on Scotty for a 2 count. Lesnar was on a tear. He hit his headbutt/belly-to-belly combination. He then hit a running powerslam. He went for a shooting star press, but Scotty moved. Lesnar landed the F5 and won.

Match 2. Edge vs. A-Train  United States Championship
Edge planted A-Train's head into the mat with a DDT. A-Train recovered and hit Edge with the Derailer. Edge got up and hit a modified flapjack and then a spear from the top rope. He went for a pin but only got a 2. He ran and kicked A-Train in the jaw which allowed Edge to get the 3 count.

Match 3. Undertaker vs. The Dudleyz
This is my first handicap match in a while. The Dudleyz were in control on The Deadman. They used frequent tags and double team moves. All three men were fighting on the outside. Bubba connected with the Bubba Cutter. D-Von lifted Taker up by the neck and slammed him down. He then pinned him to win.

Main Event. Kurt Angle vs. John Cena  #1 Contender's Match
Neither man was able to gain the upper hand in the early going. Angle got things going with a couple of suplexes. A few minutes later, Angle landed the Angle Slam. Cena fought back and hit the AA out of nowhere to win.

After the match, Steiner came in and celebrated with Cena.

Recap: Steiner, RVD and Austin? Triple H better watch out.
